Paul A. Ffrench, FCA., FCCA Managing Partner Paul
Ffrench has had a distinguished career in the accounting field. During his tenure as a student of
accountancy he rose to national prominence by becoming the first Jamaican to
complete the prestigious Association of Chartered Certified Accountants
(ACCA) examinations in four
sittings over a two-year period. Along the way he copped several awards from the
Institute of Chartered Accountants of Jamaica (ICAJ) for gaining the highest
grades in the island, as well as for having passed each of the required
fourteen subjects at the first attempt. He
gained his practical accounting experience at one of the big four international accounting
firms and also worked at senior management levels in industry. He has been a
Practising Public Accountant since November 1999 and has over eighteen (18) years
management and senior accounting experience. His career achievements clearly demonstrate
his commitment to consistently deliver work of the highest quality, and
clients of ThePractice are in line to benefit from his expertise. Paul is a member of the Accounting Standards Committee of the ICAJ, and is a Fellow of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Jamaica (ICAJ) and the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA). Suzette F. Hemmings, FCA., FCCA, CFE Partner Suzette Hemmings is a Chartered Accountant who has over 18 years auditing experience both within the local and the offshore industry in the Caribbean region. Her area of expertise lies within the financial services and manufacturing industries. Her experience spans accounting, auditing, consultations on internal control systems, regulatory compliance, fraud and other audit related services. Notwithstanding her area of expertise, Suzette is equipped to assist businesses of all size and nature with auditing, accounting and related matters. Suzette Hemmings is a Fellow of both the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Jamaica (ICAJ); and a member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE). Cherise A. Douglas, ACCA Partner Cherise is another high achiever associated with ThePractice. She has a track record for academic excellence which started from as far back as high school where she was named the best performer in the advanced level subjects Accounts, Economics and Management of Business while attending Meadowbrook High School. She graduated from the University of the West Indies in 2003 with an Honours degree in Management Studies and Accounting and was the recipient of the UWI Guild of Students Award for 2002/2003. Cherise completed the ACCA examinations in June 2005 and was presented with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Jamaica (ICAJ) overall award for obtaining the highest overall grades in Jamaica for the June 2005 sitting of ACCA level three, as well as the Jasper Burnett Award for scoring the highest marks in Jamaica for Paper 3.5 - Strategic Business Planning Development. She was also recognized for completing all the relevant papers on her first attempt. Cherise’s accounting experience spans several industries, and culminated with her fine tuning her skills at one of the big four international accounting firms.
